By admin, on November 30th, 2011 Please note that we have moved the Piano Show from December 1st to January 5th because of the rescheduling of the calendar by the county. We want to make sure that everyone has ample time to prepare. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please call 754-322-4060 if you have any question.
By admin, on November 14th, 2011 Broward County Public Schools new superintendent of schools, Robert W. Runcie, will be “hitting the road” soon as he conducts a blitz of listening sessions across Broward County. The “listening tour” is part of the kick off his tenure as superintendent of the nation’s sixth largest school district.
Runcie wants to meet and connect with parents and community members to establish a channel of two-way communication and build support to improve student achievement and performance. The perspectives, experiences, opinions and concerns expressed by parents and community members, will be used in developing the next District Strategic Plan. The listening sessions, to be held at several high schools throughout the District, are open to all parents and community members.
By admin, on November 7th, 2011 December 13th, Parkway School of the Arts will be showcasing our student talent in the Holiday Performance, “A Simple Gift.” And just to make it something truly festive, we will also be having a silent auction in the theatre lobby. We already have some fabulous items donated for the event. If you would like to contribute something of value to be included in the auction, please contact me, Mary Meillier, at 754-322-4060. We will begin the silent auction when the doors open at 5:30pm the evening of the show. The performance will begin at 6:30. Get ready for a night of fun and surprises! See you there!

The Harvest Drive incorporates all aspects of philanthropy by promoting the concept of children and adults working hand-in-hand to offer needy families in Broward County gifts of food and other necessities during the Thanksgiving holidays. Educating children and creating a consciousness about the needs of their community; promoting altruism and giving them the opportunity to help others are the cornerstone of the Harvest Drive.
Please send your canned goods to school with your student. The drive will last from November 7th until the 11th.
