Parkway Middle’s school culture promotes reading and discussing literature together with family and friends. Please encourage your child to read a book or two from our book titles below. Families are also encouraged to visit a local bookseller, and purchase books from our list. Have a safe and Happy Holiday Season.
By admin, on December 2nd, 2011 On Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 2 p.m., the award winning Parkway Middle School Jazz Band will hold a concert at the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center (AARLCC) in Fort Lauderdale as part of the yearlong celebration leading up to AARLCC’s 10th Anniversary. The theme of the concert is “Big Band Music.” The jazz ensemble is led by director Melton Mustafa, Jr. (son of jazz great Melton Mustafa) and has earned the respect of the community and superior ratings at the Florida Band Masters Association Music Performance Assessment. Tickets are available at the Library for the purchase price of $5 for students and $10 for adults. Reserve your tickets now and see and hear the talented Parkway Middle School Jazz Band.
