I have had the privilege of being a Math teacher for the Center for Intellectually Talented Youth (CITY) since 2010. I am very honored to help our students develop their natural talents, and I am happy to share my passion for math and its applications, especially in the fields of Engineering, Computer Science, and Robotics.
I like giving our students the opportunity to challenge themselves and expose them to enrichment opportunities. I serve as a coach for our Chi-Alpha-Mu Math Team (National Junior Mathematics Club for middle schools), and we participate in Mu-Alpha-Theta (National High School and Two-Year College Mathematics Honor Society), and other math events throughout the year. I have also served as sponsor and coach for our Science Olympiad, Engineering and Robotics team.
On January 2014, my wife and I welcomed our first child. My wife is also an educator, and we have already begun to instill a love for learning in our beautiful daughter.

Robin Jolley

The Teacher
Taken from Lewis Carroll’s, The Jabberwocky
Written by Ms. Robin Jolley
‘Twas Monday and the silly boys
Did smile and giggle in the halls:
All wimsy were the studentís joys,
And the teacherís wraths unwalled.
Beware Ms. Jolley, my child!
The verbs that bite, the nouns that catch!
Beware her grammar homework and revile
The frumious novelís clasp.
Long time traveled the world did she:
To Koln, Taipei and Angkor Wat–
Until at last, was homeward bound,
A Masterís degree was sought.
And, as in books her thoughts did lie,
The ITCH to teach did press her mind,
And to the Parkway School did tie,
Her mind and soul to find.
First, second, third and fourth, her students,
Through the day did pass!
She left them filled with literature,
And knowledge they amassed.
And have they learned the tricky ways
Of adjectives and verbs and nouns?
O Frabjous day! An “A”! An “A”!
Her students did they cry.
‘Twas Monday and the silly boys
Did smile and giggle in the halls:
All wimsy were the studentís joys,
And the teacherís wraths unwalled.

I am a product of Broward County Schools and love the fact that I have been able to to give back to the students of Broward for the last 25 years.  I have taught various levels of students  from second grade through the sixth grade.  Through the years I have enjoyed teaching everything from English as a second language to Montessori education and most recently teaching grades 3, 4, and 5 in the CITY academy.

I have been able to continue my education taking  college level classes and attending professional development  and conferences such as Confratute , a conference for teachers of the gifted.  I am a life-long learner and enjoy every minute of educating the future of our country.

I am an avid reader and enjoy working out in the gym and yoga.  I try to stress the importance of a well-rounded education that includes physical fitness and many books!  I remain connected to my students throughout their lives.  Many of my former students have become professional colleagues as well!  I look forward to working with every student that enters this fantastic program.
